A little about me
I’M KRISTIANNA
I launched Live in the Light Photography in September of 2025; however, photography has always been a passion of mine. In high school, and especially in college, I decided to pursue photography as a business.
When I was sixteen, I had the opportunity to photograph a couple of weddings with my grandmother, a professional wedding photographer based in South Carolina. I fell in love with shooting weddings, and that experience furthered my love for photography.
Additionally, I was a photographer/videographer at Camp Henry during the summer of 2025. I felt so lucky to spend the entire summer doing what I loved. Not only did I gain photography (and video!) experience, but I also made lifelong friendships and grew much stronger in my faith. I am incredibly grateful to have so many friends and family supporting me along the way.
Outside of photography, I am a student at Calvin University studying marketing management and entrepreneurship. I love playing piano, bicycling, and taking long walks with my beagle :)

What does it mean to Live in the Light?
You may have noticed my business name is “Live in the Light.” This phrase reflects both my style and my approach to photography.
I believe that everyone deserves to be seen. As a photographer, my goal is to capture each person’s authenticity and help them step confidently in front of the camera. I aim to create an environment that is warm, comfortable, and genuine.
This motto is inspired by one of my favorite hymns, We Are Called. Growing up in the church, I found comfort in its verses, which remind us to live in the light with openness and love for one another. Whether or not faith is a part of your life, I hope you find this to be a powerful message. Overall, I strive for a balance of both styled and candid shots that capture the beauty of the light you bring.
